Is this for two people, or just your setup? If it’s just for you, I strongly recommend either an L shaped desk or one long desk.
I absolutely love this desk ($130ish) and it can be set up as an L or one straight line! I truly think all you need is to get rid of those desks and replace them with something better.

I agree. I got this desk for $89, and while mine is set up as an L it can also be set up in one line. (This is just an example of what’s out there!)

This is the desk I have, and I love it. It’s sturdy enough that I walked across it a few times when it was first put together (don’t ask). This is in my single bedroom I share with my boyfriend and it still works well.
It has a nice monitor riser built in (that I don’t yet have a monitor on/might not use for its intended purpose), and the shelves on the right were purchased separately (they’re for a printer, eventually). There aren’t drawers, but the shelves on the bottom are very spacious and I added collapsing boxes for storage. I also added a few of these underneath, which work well and are all but invisible. I’m not a fan of having your keyboard slide out from underneath, but that can easily be added as well. There is also another version of this desk that is a bit deeper. I can link if you’d like! I have plenty of space for music/tools, drawing and other work. I plan to add a 27” monitor on the wall to the right, soon.

Could you put an L shaped desk in opposite corners, diagonally? My desk was only $130ish (the price fluctuates) and I absolutely love it. My office is also my single bedroom, shared with a partner, and it still fits well. It’s sturdy, too! I can picture one in each corner, diagonally, facing the center of the room with monitors facing the walls. Here it is all set up! Ignore the last two photos of my old desk.

Hey! I got this 55” desk on Amazon for $94! It’s sturdy as hell (I can walk on it), doesn’t wobble at all and is honestly very pretty! It took me about two hours to assemble.
Here it is assembled (in the dark).
Here it is assembled (in natural light).
Ignore the last two pics in the second link! They’re of my old desk.
I still have some work to do/things to get, but the desk itself is perfect! You can also set it up as one long desk instead of an L. Edit: the matching shelves on the right didn’t come with it! They’re actually a printer stand I intend to put a printer on, soon, but for now they’re being used for my midi board and books. They are perfect with the desk and I can link them too, if you’d like! The shelf on the left is part of the desk and is intended to be a monitor riser.
