Awesome! Thank you for the detailed reply. I use these: Oraolo M110 Neckband Bluetooth Speaker, Wireless Wearable Speaker https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WGGBPGG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CN8C4TEBEDR18PXXYXKX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
(not sure if the link will work). They’re great for listening to music, podcasts, or books without covering your ears. I don’t use them in public, just around the house/yard and in the car.

I use these wearable speakers. They work great and are directional toward your ears so it’s not blasting like a beat box. Also great is that people walking can hear you approaching from behind and move aside without having to say anything or ring a bell.
I’ve tried Aftershokz, it’s good for video blogs or audio books but not pleasing for music.

I use something like this:
Lets you keep the environmental awareness by not having headphone in, but it’s close enough to your ears that you don’t need to blast it. I’d say people can only hear it if they’re within a few meters, and probably not at all if we’re anywhere with traffic.

I have a neck speaker that wasn’t too expensive and is easy to use – it sounds ‘ok’ but the usability is super high. Can hear stuff, easy to remember you need to turn down to hear a conversation, not so loud it ever annoys anyone.
