New to r/Headphones im deffinetly an audiophile just never invested into the market of high end audio quality. Familiar more with the “Bose experience” which are good but I know there are better out there. Looking mostly for an everyday headphone with great sound that are somewhat stylish.

Budget – $200~600 willing to spend $600 on nice headphones otherwise if amp is recommended $400 for headphones $200 for amp

Source – Samsung phone, Macbook Pro, and Ps4 (also question if you could hookup amp to Ps4?)

Requirements for Isolation – preferred complete isolation over ear with ability to one ear them comfterbly when talking to the Mrs.

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? – No but styling does matter. I dont know why I just like when they look cool.

Past headphones – VMODA LP2’s, Astro A40’s, and Jaybird x2’s

Preferred Music – EDM mostly, but I listen to everything.

Im looking at:
Currently have my eye on OPPO PM-3 Closed-Back Planar Magnetic Headphones love the look of them and interested in everyones opinion of the magnetic drivers (love tech very interested). The only thing making me question the headphones is amazons “frequently bought with” recommendation is bought with a silver necklace and bracelet combo lol so that makes me think they are just plastic covers over some iphone earbuds when I see stuff like that. Mostly looking for good sounding comfterble headphones something with the comfort of my A40’s with alot better quality, not a a major factor but not a big fan of leather pads on the ear especially because I plan on using them for hours at a time.

Appreciate the help very interested in opinions, if able please link to amazon page of headphones your talking about thanks!

I would recommend you have a look at the Oppo PM3

They clip the upper limit of your budget, but have a very smooth signature. No annoying treble peakiness that can make electronic music very fatiguing.

All that said, I looked over the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO (250 ohm) and would like the Noble 4U. Oppo PM3 if you want something for on-the-go use for $67.

Oppo PM3 if you want top of line gudshit but you should also consider cheaper options imo, like the V-Moda M100, Sennheiser Momentum 2, Sennheiser Urbanites ect.

have you considered Oppo PM-3. Closed portable, capable of being driven by phone. Tonal balance is pretty spot on with your needs.
