It was on Amazon for $300 as well.

It goes great with this set up. I’m totally ready for VR man. The only thing this wheel is missing if you want a full set up is an e-brake.

The force feedback is great. Feels sturdy. The H shifter is nice too but unfortunately doesn’t have any bindable buttons.

I have an OpenWheeler and absolutely love it. It’s extremely heavy and you can bolt the g29 right into it with the screws if gives you.

Also has wheels on it, very easy to move around. Fully adjustable as well.

I LOVE my openwheeler and it’s on sale right now. Heavy / durable, and everything is adjustable.

Yeah, for sure. I have my eye on an Open Wheeler cockpit right now:

Under $400…still seems crazy expensive to me, but far, far cheaper than the other solutions I’ve seen! Plus I think it’d be possible to mod the arms fairly easily to accommodate a yoke/pedal, stick/throttle, and keyboard/mouse setup so you can play racing games, flying games, space games, and regular games all in one chair. Throw a couple of bass shakers on the chair itself & voila, the ultimate multi-gaming cockpit setup!

And yeah that’s my biggest concern on if it works on ps4.

I really like my PlaySeat. It is reasonably priced, decent quality, and adds a LOT to racing sim games, with proper wheel and pedal setup.

The DIY part of it, for me, has been adding a “buttkicker” under the seat, and I’m working on (or maybe just dreaming about) a speed controlled fan setup to eventually blow 100+ mph wind into my hair based on the ingame speed.

I will not claim it is the best, but I bought this PlaySeat and have been very happy with it.

In my case, I’m using it for VR sim racing with the Vive (and sometimes Oculus Rift).

For me, it is very important that my seating position in the seat closely matches the avatars seating position in the game, in order to really feel “in” the experience, and the Playseat delivers in that regard.

I like the playseat in that it was pretty good quality for the price, holds my wheel and petals and shifters nicely, and is nicely adjustable.

It is a tad bit flimsy in the post that holds up the wheel, but I found I actually like that because it transfers some of the wheel vibrations into the chassis, which while not perfect does add some realism. I added a pair of “butt kickers” to amplify the road and engine feel, and then a giant industrial fan to blow in my face to simulate open cockpit. Picture here

You can actually buy real race car seats for reasonably cheap (like $400 to $1000 zone – of course they have more expensive also). Just Google “Race Car Seats”. For example

I personally have a PlaySeat, which I think is just one of the cheaper race car seats stuck onto a platform you can mount your wheel to. I bought it as a temporary thing while I figured out a more complete simulator, and have to say I like it a lot. They have several models depending if you want Formula 1 or Rally car or whatever driving position, etc.

I bought one of these and it is the best thing I’ve bought. I know it is pricey but you’ll never need anything else. You can find cheaper versions as well.
