What is the opinion of Reddit about the
Newhouse Lighting Clamp White Clip Light LED Lamp, Black (NHCLP-LED-BLK)?

But, I will say it was a little difficult for me to figure out to right angle to direct the light for the first week or so. That being said, it puts out quite a bit of light!

Thank you for the feedback. Could you recommend some good desk lamps? I already have two but they didn’t add much with regard to lighting. Lighting is a bit of a problem for me, Ill look into some additional lights. Thanks again for the feedback.

i checked this site: https://walkenhorsts.com/select_institution.html, which has catalogues presumably for family to buy items for their incarcerated members. a desk lamp is about 12 bucks. That’s about on par with the desklamps available on amazon. (if not lower. the lamps i’m seeing on amazon with a quick search seem to start at 17).

edit: was also curious about the wage thing and 1$/hr seems reasonable. it’s lower for private prisons it would appear. as low as 16cents/hr for private prison inmates.

i’m not particularly disturbed by these practices in any case. incarceration implies a punishment. i don’t mind the rates being that low. if anything, it’s rehabilitative and a privilege to have jobs available even if the rates are near rock bottom. in the end, it’s not zero. and it’s not like they don’t get food if they don’t work. they just don’t get desk lamps.
