I don’t have a great recommendation. I’ve tried so many over the years and my skin seems to make a bit too much moisture of its own, even as I approach the half century mark. I have liked a salicylic acid and mandelic acid moisturizer from a company called Neutralyze (https://www.amazon.com/Neutralyze-Renewal-Complex-3-4-Moisturizer/dp/B07D5GQ7RD). However, it’s sold out a good bit, so now I have an order in for a new salicylic acid-including moisturizer from Vichy (https://www.vichyusa.com/skin-care/normaderm-phytoaction-acne-control-daily-moisturizer-3337875660617.html) with the silicone midway through the ingredients, so fingers crossed. I don’t think expensive products are awesome, so I am only trying the Vichy as I had some coupons and the ingredients make me hopeful.

I use Adapalene, not Tret, and I am quite oily by nature (my grandmother was also fabulously oily until she passed away), so primarily just use an emollient under my eyes and light moisturizer as others say I should. Your skin is likely drier and much younger, so I don’t want to lead you wrong. Good luck.

Hi all,
I am a newbie to skincare. I currently suffer mostly from acne (cystic) and PIH around my cheeks. Here is my routine:

AM
Panoxyl 4% Benzoyl Peroxide Creamy Wash (rotate with Cetaphil Pro Oil Removing Foam Wash)
Clindamycin Phosphate Topical
Neutralyze Renewal Complex Amazon (Bought this one since it had good reviews)
No sunscreen yet please advice on what’s best for acne-prone skin

PM
Panoxyl 4% Benzoyl Peroxide Creamy Wash (rotate with Cetaphil Pro Oil Removing Foam Wash)
Tretinoin 0.025%
Clindamycin Phosphate Topical
Neutralyze Renewal Complex Amazon

I would also like to use some sort of skin brightening product as well. I’m currently in the purge phase because of using tretinoin and would like to know what else I can to do to bring my acne under control.

Thank you
