Look at Allersoft Mattress Protectors. They are 100% cotton, very tightly woven (less than 3.5-um gaps), and don’t have any urethane or barrier material. Make sure you choose the right depth for your mattress. Also, don’t go with Allerease by mistake — they are low quality.

I have pretty severe dust mite allergies, so I’ve been using an allergen barrier cover for a while now, but I’m not sure how impermeable it is. I’m in too hot a climate for the cheap plastic membrane covers, so I have this one made with tightly woven cotton instead.
