Not sure if you saw the wall of a post I made about my similar experience, but here’s the link to the sleeping headphones I wore over industrial strength ear plugs. It would be great if you could find a nose cancelling version if they exist…

I have these.
Battery lasts 10 hours or more, plus I can pull it down and use as a sleep mask. If you look up Bluetooth headphones for sleeping on Amazon there’s different styles. The audio isn’t super amazing but it does the trick for me.

I use a set of headphones made for sleeping in like these. I use the Harry Potter books read by Stephen Fry – I know the story, which is pretty simple after all, and his voice is quite relaxing. Also the text is modern and doesn’t require much thought. I use the sleep timer on the Audible app as well.

I received two pairs of ear hooks, small and large. The smalls felt great but I lost them (nooooooooo) and had to start using the larges. Those did cause soreness, but I was able to take a sharp knife and just shave down the part that was putting too much pressure on.
If you’re concerned about ear soreness, you might try something like this. My husband has a pair and he loves it. The band is thick and not too stretchy–it’s made to stay on your head while sleeping so I think it would also work well for working out. You can remove all the electronic components and wash the band when needed.

It doesn’t really have good noise cancelling though, if there is one with noise cancelling it would be great. With this headband white noise, I still have to use ear plug underneath. But it’s better than just ear plugs.
