My Senn HD 202’s (i know, they’re shit-tier, but i really like them) decided to crap on me all of a sudden (right channel cable broken) after around 8 months of heavy use. I’ve decided it’s not worth the hassle to get them to repair or change since I don’t live in the US. I’m looking at the Monoprice 8323s, and they seem to fill all of my needs, however i feel they’re kinda bulky. Hence, why i’m posting here.

Budget – USD 30-50

Source – PC, Android

Requirements for Isolation – mainly at the office and on airplanes. moderate isolation is desired, but not a dealbreaker.

Preferred Type of Headphone – on ear/full sized

Preferred tonal balance – balanced, tending to bassy.

Past headphones – Sennheiser HD 202’s

Preferred Music – math rock (heavy on the drums and cymbal), classical, choral music, musicals.

What would you like to improve on from your set-up – something portable, preferably with a detachable cable and decent build, since i’ll be carrying them around and want them to be durable.

I live in Colombia, however i’m traveling to Mexico in a couple weeks, so anything from there i’ll be able to get once i’m there.

EDIT: another thing about the Monoprice, These are being advertised as the “lightweight” version of the 8323s. Is it true, or is there a loss of quality with this model?
