I have the 2i2 and I’m using a midi plus Tbox 2×2 Midi interface. It’s about $30 on amazon currently, but you might be able to find something similar local or online. Plus two midi cables and you’re set.

No, you would need to connect your volca keys’ 5 pin DIN MIDI in port to a 5 pin DIN MIDI out port on the computer. If your computer doesn’t already have MIDI outputs on an audio interface, you could use something like this . Or you might want to invest in a USB audio interface with MIDI ports since you’ll want one eventually anyway.
Then you would need to connect a USB type B cable (it’s not a printer cable, at least not what most people think of when you say “printer cable,” and calling it one is only going to cause confusion) from your MIDI controller to a USB port on the computer.
Then you would need to run MIDI software on the computer (LMMS is free if you don’t already have a DAW that can do this, or you could probably use MIDI-OX if you don’t want to run a full DAW) to route the MIDI from the USB MIDI input (your controller) to the DIN MIDI output.
I’m sure it feel like people are giving you a hard time over the terminology but it’s important to call things by their proper names, especially in this case where you’re using really ambiguous language that makes it sound like you want something very different from what you actually need.

If that’s the case, spend the money and just get 1x USB -> MIDI interface that has female plugs on it. Plug the Male goes right into it. Don’t know specifics on this product, it was the first Google hit.

Folllowup question. Is there anything in particular I need to hook those pedals up to my tablet other than a midi to usb connector? I know the CBA pedals require a special midi connector, but do I need to run all of them through a midi interface, something like this?

Don’t know much about that cable, but you can get a cheap USB midi interface and set Live to send signal to the MPC via that (I use this: https://www.amazon.com/midiplus-Tbox2X2-USB-MIDI-Interfaces/dp/B00WU6F4M6). then just track your MPC back into live. The easiest way would be to then use an “external instrument” object form the instruments menu which will send midi and recieve audio from the same track within Live (once your midi out and Audio In settings are in place). If you know your way around Ableton, midi, and your audio interface it’s not really that hard to do what you want. the hard part is just getting up to speed on that stuff.

Yeah, since I need an interface too, I just decided to go with this which was a few bucks more expensive, but probably much more reliable: http://www.amazon.com/midiplus-Tbox2X2-USB-MIDI-Interfaces/dp/B00WU6F4M6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1459800941&sr=8-3&keywords=midi+splitter
