For less than the cost of the Q950A you could have a proper home theater setup with an HDMI 2.1 capable AVR and 5.1 speaker setup that will easily outperform any soundbar and bass performance will be much better.
- AVR – Denon AVR-760H-R ($449)
- Center – Micca RB42-C ($99)
- Fronts – Micca RB42 ($159)
- Rears – Micca MB42-X ($89)
- Subwoofer – Jamo C912 ($204)
- Cables – Speaker Wire, Banana Plugs, Subwoofer Cable, HDMI Cables

Buy a temporary center channel until you can get a more permanent setup.
Something like this at 5.2″ for $100 would be my choice.

If you don’t mind paying $15 for an adapter then sure. Can probably drive something like the Micca RB42C fine.

Personally I would sell the entire thing, go buy a pair of bookshelf speakers and a $50 amp.
·
Any AVR worth a darn would cost at least $300 right now. Maybe a mini-amp and pair of speakers would be best for you for now.

Heck yeah, great system!! I’d say the bottleneck is probably that center, since it pushes out almost all dialogue and a huge portion of the sound stage. Enjoy what you have for sure, but here’s some good upgrades if/when you want to.

And like you mentioned, the surrounds don’t have to be anything special. Micca MB42X’s at $80/pair would probably be a nice upgrade when you’re ready, and they’re all you would want.
Don’t forget you can run some atmos speakers with that AVR too. You can mount in-ceiling (Again, Micca’s R8-C at $60/each are awesome), or you can mount something tiny like their COVO-S line, or something cheap from A4L)

I have an RB42-C and I love it

Here’s my other post, but basically the RTD-3133 as my surrounds (will replace them with nicer ones as I save up more money), and my center channel is the Micca RB42-C.
