if you don’t plan on ever doing surround: Micca PB42X renewed for 85 https://www.amazon.com/Micca-PB42X-Bookshelf-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B073ZLLRZ4
those are powered speakers, meaning they’re just plug and play but won’t work with AVRs.
OR if you plan on eventually upgrading to a surround system (5.1 or better), then you should stick to passive speakers so you can use them with an AVR in the future. which means buying 3 things:
1) speakers. best you can do for passive speakers right now: Micca MB42 renewed for 65 https://www.amazon.com/Micca-MB42-Bookshelf-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B073ZLK5D5
BUT if you can wait, the Micca MB42X renewed costs the same when available and it is better. right now it’s out of stock but here’s the link https://www.amazon.com/Micca-MB42X-Bookshelf-Speakers-Renewed/dp/B073ZL9MCX
2) amp. you’ll need an amp to use passive speakers, such as this Lepai 2020TI for 32 https://www.amazon.com/Lepai-LP-2020TI-Instruments-TPA3118-Amplifier/dp/B071FJF4FF
3) speaker wire. 10 bucks https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-16-Gauge-Audio-Stereo-Speaker/dp/B006LW0WDQ
you can optionally buy banana plugs, but there’s no need, you can plug the wires directly. so a total of 65+32+10 = 97 dollars, which is still just under your budget.
