I also have tinnitus and also enjoy the white noise my HEPA filter makes on high. We haven’t wildfires here, but my downstairs neighbor is a rabid pot smoker and man, it gets so bad in my place that I can taste it on my tongue. This HEPA filter knocks it out:

It is not a cheap date for electric, but I think all of them are like that.

This is what my doctor had in each checkup room. This is the 500 sq ft model, but they make other sizes, one of which is 200 sq ft.
Perhaps not as a primary thing, but in addition to what others are saying on here?
