I’m still waiting on my first board to ship, but I’ve already put together my numpad with some DSA caps. I thought I was going to want to go that route with the full board, but reading some opinions has be second-guessing.

Is the flat uniformity truly an issue? I enjoy the visual profile but will glady push that aside for a better typing experience.

The common profile on this cheapo board felt too tall, which attracted me to a lower profile cap like DSA.

Does anyone recommend a certain keycap profile based on that. I’m wondering about DSS or KAT?

I gave up the search and bought this, the closest thing to what I wanted – https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-VELOCIFIRE-Tenkeyless-Copywriters-Programmers/dp/B0829VJB92/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=B0829VJB92&qid=1595097057&sr=8-1

It’s not 60% but charges with USB-C, isn’t super big and has really nice feeling switches. And more importantly, isn’t bluetooth.

There’s the Anne Pro 2 but the only thing is it’s only bluetooth, not complete wireless but it’s a really solid keeb. There’s also the Velocifire which is fully wireless but it’s a TKL keyboard (has 87 keys) compared to the Anne Pro and GK61 which are 60% (have 61 keys)

I use this wireless TKL: https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-VELOCIFIRE-Tenkeyless-Copywriters-Programmers/dp/B0829VJB92

And I have a Rakk Lam Ang-Pro on its way. It’s another wireless TKL.

And the RK987 also has hot swappable switches (like the Ang-Pro) and it’s a wireless TKL: RK987 Mechanical Keyboard 87 Keys White LED Backlight Tenkeyless Gaming Keyboard, Wired/Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard Gaming/Office for iOS Android Windows MacOS and Linux (Blue Switch) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WR9YCKK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_8Y4K02EMCR054XZTZQF5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Hello, I have done research for a while now. Looking into getting my first mechanical keyboard. My budget is anything below $75US. I reviewed the material in the wiki but could not quite find what I was looking for. Through research, I have narrowed down the specs I am looking for and was curious if anything exists within my budget range. I am a total noob so please correct me if any of my terminology is incorrect. Really appreciate the advice!

– Brown Switches Cherry MX or Alternative ( I am a video editor and writer and want something tactile but not too loud) Price is my main issue.

– Mac compatible ( function keys need to have Macintosh icons like brightness and volume)

– White Keyboard (don’t need backlighting) ( happy to buy extra caps if needed)

– Wireless

So Far these are what I have found in the sub $70 Range

Velocifire Tkl02ws ( not sure this is mac compatible)

Keychron K6

Thanks!
