I seriously recommend you pick up 2 lol. I was NEVER an eye mask person but it’s so soft and I like to prechill it before bed now.

Sure the apartment might have a no drill rule but so what? You need to sleep.

However, before you go drilling, have you tried a sleep mask? A really good one like this? https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D3M5TTZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I occasionally have to work nights and with one of those masks I’ll sleep like the dead the entire day. It’s a life saver.

I just bought this sleeping mask (pre-med, but I work nights!) and it’s amazing. My apartment has those shitty plastic curtain things, so we can’t do blackout curtains, but even in bright daylight I can get great sleep. Combine that with ear plugs and you’re essentially dead to the world. Tbh I think I’m gonna keep this habit even if I’m not doing nights anymore. I get great sleep now. I even took a great nap in my car (the only sleep I got in 38 hours that day lol). I’m probably gonna be forced to sleep in my car next semester, as I’ll have about 5 hours between work and school several days a week, so I’m happy about this purchase.

Soylent is also great. Like I said, I’m not in residency, but due to class and work I often pull 16 hour days. I rarely take a real break at work because I have 12 patients in a high-acuity floor. Soylent saves my ass from almost passing out at the end of my shift. I also keep an “emergency stash” of food, instant coffee, and those creamer cups in my car in case I forgot lunch. This saves me from buying fast food, which is great because I’m only making $13.55 an hour right now. I threw in a change of clothes and toiletries for good measure. Never know when you’re not gonna make it home.
