What is the opinion of Reddit about the Logitech Z623 2.1 Speaker System?

First off – DJ’s do not need monitors. ever in fact they are worse for DJing than an inexpensive set of 2.1 PC style speakers. They cost a lot more and perform worse.

Only if you really think you are going to get into producing do monitors make sense.

Flat response accuracy isn’t necessary at all for DJs and if anything can be detrimental. Most of the clubs you play out at will have EQd the sound to fit the room – not to make it sound ‘flat’.

Honestly the absolute perfect set of DJ practice speakers IMHO is the Logitech Z623:

PS: I’m a semi-retired DJ and now into producing. I have a set of 2.1 speakers (Altec Lansing – discontinued model) that are hooked up to my DJ controller (Hercules RMX) and a separate set of Studio Monitor speakers (Tannoy Reveal 502) hooked up to my production soundcard (Tascam US-322).

I don’t ever use my studio monitors for DJing.

Keep an eye out for Logitech z623, you can get it for 7999 (lightning deal) keeps coming every few days. They got plenty of power and that extra punch to go with it.
