I went with the Logitech keys to go. I didn’t want to carry a case with a built in keyboard because it makes the device heavy and the case doesn’t protect the edges. The keys to go is a stand alone keyboard that’s super flat. I got mine for $40 on amazon for the basic black but there’s other colors if that’s your thing.

awesome..yeah i think up/down would be the most logical, as it would work for regular keyboards nicely as well. when using a keyboard to change queues…

Ideally adding joystick support to the app itself would be the best, as you could use it for changing visuals/effects with updownleftright, but would open up the ability to enable joystick for pong and balloon popper too..

Pong already works with this setup if you map up/down in joy2key so thats great,, but if i could add keyboard support for balloon popper for up down left right and maybe make the fire/mark buttons same as the random scene button/random effect button to essentially give ti support for a 4 button controller like the one i posted above..

just had an idea actually,, so many chepa little “VR” remotes with motion sensing that likely can move the mouse.. i bet that will work out of the box with baloon popper.. so gonna try that out.

I also found This for $50 at the source, its great, sealed tiny keyboard (but not too tiny), and spill proof. https://www.amazon.ca/Logitech-Ultra-Portable-Bluetooth-Keyboard-920-006701/dp/B00R0I71S4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1483823505&sr=8- 3&keywords=logitech+tablet+keyboard – you can set up all the hotkeys and contorl from anywhwere in the room thanks to laserOS’s simplified interface..

I know this device is geared towards home use, but I really feel its also a perfect little device for small production companies or any mobile DJ’s who want to add something wicked to their productions, the ease of use the software gives you and the quality of the visuals, along with all the fun addons you guys have added will surely liven up any show

Auto LJ – Have it automatically switch scenes at a timed interval, or after x number of beats.

yeah found space is working for blackout as well.. wow i jsut found a great little companion for LaserOS. since you dont really need to see the interface, this is all you need or wireless support, assuming your pc has bluetooth, works fantastic and is spillproof.

I picked up a Logitech Keys-to-Go keyboard. It’s got a 4 star rating from Macworld and I’m pretty happy with it. I wouldn’t suggest it for long-form writing just because the keys aren’t as defined as, say, a chicklet style keyboard but it’s extremely portable and perfect for some messaging or hammering out a few emails. Also I’ve had it since last April and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever charged it. Granted I’m an extremely light user, but still.

I like this one given I don’t have an iPad Air, I have the Mini. It has a little clip/insert that you can attach to the top to make it so you can slide the iPad in and use it like a laptop (kinda) and also is super thin, covered in a soft fabric that makes wiping it off a breeze and only 0.24 inches thick.

I did some keyboard research but ended up not going with anything new yet…

For the most portable option, check out the Logitech Keys2Go. Extremely lightweight and durable, but charges via microUSB (it’s an old unit that they never updated). It seems to be similar to the smart folio keyboard.

The K380 is the one many are recommending – it has the usual great Logitech typing experience and can connect to multiple devices. But… it’s a bit heavier due to using disposable batteries (AAAs I think?). Seems like a good option though.

And if you’re only looking for a keyboard for your iPad (as in, you don’t need to connect it to any other devices), the V2 Apple Keyboard is awesome. I mean… I have it because it’s what I use every day for work (with my Macbook), but it blows for connecting to more than one device. It’s light, has a great typing experience, and charges via lightning cable, but can really only connect to one device wirelessly.

The smart folio and magic keyboard… I’ve got thoughts on those. I’m not a fan of either for different reasons (I tried both), but to save you the time of an even longer post: they’re definitely not worth the money if you don’t have it to spare.
