It’s not very bad. You can shrink the keyboard and move it or split it into two little halves on the bottom so you can type with your thumbs. It’s definitely not as easy as typing on my iPhone though.

There are small Bluetooth keyboards you could use. I got a $10-15 one at Walmart for about $15 and it worked great til it broke. Logitech makes this multidevice keyboard that I didn’t expect too much from but absolutely love. It switches easily between my phone or ipad, it’s large enough to be comfortable, sturdy enough to toss in a bag without worrying if it’ll break, and cheap enough that if it does it’s not a big deal.

This Logitech Keyboard has been working great for me.
I like that it works with both iOS and Android. I’ve paired it with my Android Phone, Amazon Fire Cube and my iPad. Set up each device once and you can turn a knob to select the one you want to use.

Works great!

Why would you need a web browser to copy and paste? I have a bluetooth keyboard and ctrl+c, ctrl+v works just fine. Also, it’s super useful when chatting with my FC or in dungeons.

This is the one I use. The slot is nice to hold my phone up w/ videos, guides, teamcraft etc while playing. Also, it can pair w/ 3 devices, so you can pair it with a phone or tablet as well as your Playstation.

I used this keyboard for a while – main selling point for me was that I could just the little switch on the top left to go between my phone and computer – plus most phones will fit in that top tray to rest.

Some manufacturers make keyboards that can pair to multiple devices at the same time, and switch between them on the fly with a switch or button combo.

I know Logitech has several good options, like this one, but there are plenty of others.

I use this with an iPhone 7. Should work with a newer android device. Comfortable if you’re used to a laptop style keyboard. Easy to throw in a bag. (I wouldn’t describe it as “pocketable” though)

Actually, my lapdesk is pretty old, I just didn’t use it for quite some time.

This is the keyboard I use:

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Bluetooth-Multi-Device-Smartphones-920-006342/dp/B00MUTWLW4

The great thing about it, is it has a dial with 3 positions, so you can sync it with 3 different devices and switch between them, without having to re-pair it each time.

So I have it on my PC, Android tablet and PS4. It also has a slot at the top to put a tablet or phone into.

As for the mouse, any wireless mouse will do. I just use a small Motorola bluetooth one I bought a few years back.

I’ve been playing MMOs on consoles since FFXI and my absolute favorite keyboard, by far, has been this Logitech K480. Excellent response with the PS4; Bluetooth with actual range; compact; Can pair 3 different devices simultaneously; battery life is fantastic (had mine over a year and still on the same set.)

If you’re looking for a keyboard and you don’t want to pay for the folio cover, this is a cheaper option. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Bluetooth-Multi-Device-Smartphones-920-006342/dp/B00MUTWLW4/ref=sr_1_58?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1420863184&sr=1-58

I like that it has the slot to prop up the tablet, and you can use it with 2 other Bluetooth devices. I have a Nexus6, and it’s cool to use this keyboard with the phone as well as with my tablet.

The official google tablets would get it for sure. Multi windows work best on samsung tablets.

if you use cynogen mod for marshmallow, there is a functioning multi window feature if you edit build.prop

Alternatively why not type laptop in amazon and filter by the one shipping in your country? You can manually install dual boot android, or android running in windows if you really need the android function.

Whether a chromebook gets android app support should not be your main deciding factor because not all apps will work. If you really need android, you can go the tablet route. In the end, you need to know what your needs are.

For me, I used a samsung tablet+ logitech k480 keyboard it is very convenient to take down notes in android as I can quickly screenshot and crop powerpoint slides and paste inside notes. This is how neat it turns out I do have a toshiba chromebook 2 but I cant do up notes as fast as on an android tablet. handwriting is useful too

I bought a keyboard specifically this one for school and I had gotten a tab S7 and was looking for an alternative to the keyboard book and they refused to take my return because it’s a keyboard….

I told them its not even open I gotten it and I didn’t open I could just feel the weight of it was more than my text books and I said fuck it. I was told it’s ineligible for returns cause keyboards cannot be returned

I but earlier this year I bought this g915 keyless and I returned that no problem and I got the one with the keypad.

I had to go and call Amazon about this and they even said that they won’t take back the keyboard and I should go sell it. I told them I’m not doing that and after 5 years of extensively impulse buying on Amazon (I keep like 95% of my items) I had to speak to the call centers supervisor who said I can keep it and they will issue a refund….

So now I’m stuck with a brick of a keyboard and I l got my money back. I’m glad I got my money back cause I instantly bought another keyboard from Amazon that was better suited.

I’m disappointed that it took that long about a product that was unopened unused because it’s a keyboard…

If you prefer a sturdy case, I’d say your best bet is finding a rugged case with a kickstand, and then using a Logitech keyboard + Bluetooth mouse combo. Maybe either a Logitech K480 or Logitech K780 for the keyboard, and then any one of the Logitech Bluetooth mice. (Watch for sales, because Logitech has some nice deals once in a while. I wouldn’t ever really buy their mainstream keyboards/mice at full price, but they make really nice peripherals overall.)

If you don’t mind a dongle sticking out of your device, you could also get the Logitech K400 Plus and use a USB A to C mini dongle whenever you want to use the keyboard.

Any keyboards like the Belkin F5L112tt? I loved this keyboard because it was so easy to use anywhere with any device, but I probably loved it a bit too much because some plastic in the battery compartment broke, rendering the thing useless. I’ve looked so hard trying to find something similar–i.e. a Bluetooth keyboard with a cover that doubles as a stand–but it seems like literally every phone/tablet keyboard either has a stand that is too small, too thin, or non-existent, which makes them too unstable for angled and/or lap-writing, especially outside. (As a minor note, I’m not too fond of the keys and layouts in some of those examples either.) Keyboard folios aren’t a good solution because I want to use it with my phone, 7″ tablet, and 10″ tablet depending on the situation; and every folio only seems compatible with whatever model or 1″-2″ margin it was made for. I’m going so crazy trying to find something that works, I have half a brain to use a 3-ring binder and ordinary Bluetooth keyboard, except that there’s no way to angle the binder, or really keep it open at all. Any ideas here?

Oops. Looks I pasted the wrong link. The one in my original comment is the newer model.

I have this model myself. It works well with iOS and macOS.

I use the logitech k480. I like that it’s bigger, easier on my wrists. I also got the hermit shell keyboard case where I can it my iPad and my pencil in there.

So far I really like it. I’m a student too, I use it for taking notes in my reading as well as lecture notes.

The harmony smart keyboard or the mini controller? The smart keyboard is like a standard keyboard with a built in touchpad on the right side. And the mini controller is like a game pad size keyboard. I dont have the harmony hub at all, so would I be able to still use it?
The big thing for me is being able to switch easily from device to device, with either a switch or a button. Also, a smaller form factor would be nice.
The Logitech Multi-Device keyboards are nice because they have that device switching capabilities. Its the K480 and K780 bluetooth keyboards.

This large ass post, what did I learn?

 • But before that, I wanted to go back in my life, and explore why I am the way I am. 11 weeks ago I wrote this topic to explore just that.

 • I had read a Psychology book 2 years ago (since I always wanted to learn it), called “Psychology in plain English”. I learned enough Psychology there basically, everything I ever wanted to know. Proceeded not to look at anything psychology related for 2 whole years to today.

 • I decided, to finally accept my closeted gaming experiences and merge it in this post with my real life experiences. I thought, what the fuck, why not do a scientific study while I’m at it? So I basically diagnosed my own issues like a shrink would, at least I think I did, found out where all my problems were, found out that I’m a sociopath, found out lots of things.

 • So I decided to write a theory on everything I learned. Because why the fuck not? There’s been no studies like this or anyone like me remotely in terms of similar experiences, so I figured i’d do something pseudo-science-y and make up my own theories about thinking. Like I read these self-help books like “7 habits of highly effective people” or “Choose yourself!”, but I wanted to write my own ~~but really, all they do is use ancedotes for everything. I haven’t read a self-help book that was entirely an autobiography that also happened to be a bestseller on amazon.~~

 • So I made my theory up.

TL;DR short sweet version of theory

 • I went and explored how Newton invented physics back in the day, I went and explored the birth of science and history from cavemen times, the birth of linguistics, what twitter hashtags and evernote hashtags were related to that. And how my merging of two identities – my gaming pseudonym daphoenix, and my real life self, and the effects of it (no self-studies have been done here). I ended up writing a whole theory behind just that. I called it “Physical memory tag” or PMT for short, which essentially is how you associate objects in real life with your 5 senses. I called the other thing, your random inner voice thought process, as “Virtual Memory Tag” or VMT for short

 • To prove my theory, I took extreme examples in history, such as serial rapist, terrorists, feral humans, animal behavior, darwinism, social LBGT issues today, suicide bridge examples and testimonies, psychological studies, some studies on similar studies that align to mine from merging a gaming identity to real-self, how hypnosis works, explored how I got smarter over time despite being stupid as shit in 2nd grade, and then analyzed how my idea rates changed over time, with writing this post. Analyzed some of my dreams while I was at it. Basically, that’s how I validated my theory-ish to some degree

 • Here’s the results of all of that. http://imgur.com/hYvZCnv (there’s more though). Its not easily understandable since I used lots of jargon. Basically, what I did was I think? reinvent psychology in my own terminology. Possibly. I think I may have made some psychological discoveries along the way. Dunno. Need to peer-review it though. I might publish a dissertation on this for fun though, granted I’ve never taken a neuroscience or psychology course, so I really don’t know how right or wrong I am. Plus I’d need to do a statistical P<0.05 value correlation with a large enough sampling to prove my theories. Its not something I really care too much about, I mostly wrote my theories so I can understand myself better, and apply it towards learning. Which I do, mostly by having 5 reddit accounts in this thing I called MIND STATES. More on that later, it’d take awhile to explain

TL:DR of post

 • Yap, so that’s the story of my life. Sorry for the overkill statement, I hadn’t condensed it into readable form yet and decided to do it with this post

> I use the surface pro and it really is probably the best for ON. But I’ve also used a Samsung tablet with S pen that worked pretty well. It just had syncing issues constantly. So I broke it in a rage and saved up and got a surface.

 • Forgot to answer your question, But yeah the reason syncing happens is because on Samsung Tablet, its an app version, not a full version (Surface is a full version app). Syncing happens usually when you connect to wifi, at least that’s how I remembered it worked. If you had a onenote App (say on your tablet), and a computer open at the same time, and wrote notes on both, syncing is really slow. I manually sync my work PC to my home PC

 • But, not everyone can afford a $300 to $2100 dollar machine, plus its risky carrying that around in your backpack. Might get stolen. Which is why in class, I’d still take notes via paper and pen. OR better yet, you could do this http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Bluetooth-Multi-Device-Smartphones-920-006342/dp/B00MUTWLW4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00 + your smartphone. I’ve taken notes this way its actually pretty effective, cost $30, your still typing too but just using simple note formats. Don’t even need a tablet. If you need to draw a diagram, use pen+paper, reference it in the notes, scan it later into there (1. just take your phone, 2. take a picture, 3. email yourself, 4. go home on PC see email, 5. +SHAREX screenshot, go to note, put link, your done). You can even filter your emails out you send to yourself. Its extremely fast and effective, and it backs it all up on your PC at the same time AND by email, plus you get great notes, don’t have to carry a heavy expensive laptop around, and its very LEAN in nature (just carry a bluetooth keyboard that’s all! and maybe a backup 3000 mAH battery to charge your phone). All together, those 5 steps take awhile to load up, but it takes less than 30 seconds overall to do the entire process, even less if your doing multiple photos / scanned docs

 • ^ At least, that’s what experience tells me is the fastest overall and most useful reliable way of taking notes are. You could use a tablet too, like a cheap $99 one here too

———~~

~~After school – Work -Haven’t really succeeded in my work projects partially because I got lazy as hell by writing this post for 3 months instead, because this was a once-in-a-lifetime-breakthrough-thought process that wasn’t going to happen again. Also, partly in the fact that no one really wants to invest in anything, so I decided I’d invest purely in myself instead. So I wrote this long post. I feel like I would’ve had some really deep regrets though if I didn’t write this 600,000 -800,000 word post, its why growing up I felt “Deja-Vu” a lot, I just really wish I took better notes~~

I~~wish I changed majors and took an extra 3 years of schooling. It made me really sad. I clung to my old ways for the first~~

~~I kind of regretted never starting a youtube channel, so in Guild Wars 2 (another really big MMO game), I decided~~

~~Actually honestly I never gave a flying fuck about my GPA, it just so happens that I could regurgitate information really well but not apply it. I did a lot of research in school (3 years) and learned that I really hate research. I simply cannot sit in one place spending like a hundred hours doing one sample preparation, it bores me shitless, because I could’ve done XYZ in those timeframes~~

~~Junior -> Senior year university, I had 3 internships accept me (I only really applied to 10, writing applications took forever and I got lazy), I took one with the Nuclear Regulatory commission(NRC), but~~

~~I felt like I didn’t have any guidance my entire life and just picked a major that seemed to interest me, but I grew to really hate it senior year university.~~

~~I had a lot of social stigma issues in senior year university~~

~~I didn’t pick the major I really wanted,~~

Logitech K480 would be better, no?
