It was a one time thing, but regardless, the price now on amazon for a new g710 is $108.00
Here is the link for it. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-High-Speed-920-006519/dp/B00QI2WPJ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466215789&sr=8-1&keywords=g710

That’s great. I think it’s a decent deal, it’s this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-High-Speed-920-006519/dp/B00QI2WPJ8
for $69. And prices in my country are usually 5 – 15% higher than amazon.
I read about the “double tap problem” with the Blues but I don’t think it’ll be an issue for me since I lift my finger high, I’ll just have to try it.

Hey looking for a new keyboard, fairly new to gaming but use my comp for work also. Trying to find a well priced keyboard that I won’t grow out of. Is this a good option and about the price I’m going to find?

if you are able to knock up ur budget by $15, I’d recommend the logitech g710 cherry mx blue. go to amazon and select your seller(amazon sells it for $130, look for other sellers who offer prime handling, which are generally trustable) there are sellers who sells it $78 and $83 respectively, both free shipping and new.
source: happy g710 user, bought this baby on thanksgiving wednesday for 49.99 plus tax lol (ty amazon flash deals!)
edit: here’s the link http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-High-Speed-920-006519/dp/B00QI2WPJ8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
make sure you browse through the sellers in order to encounter the good prices
·
I’d watch out because it uses Kailh switches which are cheap versions of cherry switches and don’t seem to last as long.
I would try and find a suitable cherry key switched keyboard not too familiar with US prices but found this. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-High-Speed-920-006519/dp/B00QI2WPJ8/ref=sr_1_8?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1449579768&sr=1-8&keywords=corsair+k70
Cant really go wrong with a G710 a tiny bit more expensive but should last you alot longer.

To add on to this, for a beginner mechanical keyboard (something that’s loud, tactile, and fun to use) I suggest the Logitech G710, a solid keyboard with 18(6×3) programmable keys and adjustable backlighting. It also has media keys and a volume control on it, plus a Gaming Lock Key (disables the Windows key) to prevent your game from switching out. It also has a USB input on the keyboard itself. It’s a bit more expensive, but it comes from a trusted company and has legitimate cherry switches. Enjoy!
·
I own a Logitech G710+. It is awesome. Here’s the link. It has Cherry MX Blue keys. I have the Cherry MX Brown version. It has 6 G-keys with 3 reprogammable settings. It’s backlit. I love mine.

·
haha same mouse and headset I was looking at, hows the sound quality on headset?
this was the keyboard I was looking at: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-High-Speed-920-006519/dp/B00QI2WPJ8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1440950553&sr=8-2&keywords=Logitech+G710+Wired+Gaming+Keyboard
·
Im pretty sure they offer blues as well, though the blues are more expensive so its a steal either way.
·
This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-006519-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00QI2WPJ8

Solid keyboard but keystrokes are loud so I wouldn’t use it in an office. The keys do feel great tho. Never tried any other Cherry MX keys so can’t comment on that. Try r/MechanicalKeyboards

The ability to program macros is cool but not as useful as you would think. I suppose you could map editing tools to those buttons if you don’t want to use the normal shortcuts.

Honestly what really surprised me was having the volume on a roller. Super nice, feels very natural. I would be disappointed if this wasn’t on my next keyboard.

I’d buy it again.

Trying to find a good price point to sell my desktop computer, monitor, and keyboard all together. I bought the majority of it premade for ~$600 in 2015. Upgraded 8gb of Ram to 32 GB – excessive I know.

I have the brown version but it’s really good. Word of caution is that I got key bounce on my Z key from mashing it to hard.

Mechanical Keyboard or No?
Mechanical Keyboard recommendation for good price:

Non Mechanical Keyboard:

$78 for the Blue MX:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QI2WPJ8/ref=twister_B011IQWC7I?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Makes me wonder if Logitech is getting ready to obsolete the G710.
·
Personal preference in that price class would be the Logitech G710. I’m from Germany, so best link I could find quickly was on Amazon.
·
have you looked around in r/hardwareswap ? The g710 is $82 and the cm storm quickfire is $60 after rebate but the CM is not backlit. If you don’t care about mechanical switches you could get a CM storm octane that has 7 different colors for <$60. But I recommend looking in r/hardwareswap as you can probably get more for your money (or ebay if you must)

> They’re Cherry MX Browns
The Blues are also on “sale”: LINK – Amazon.com
·
Mind giving me your opinion between two keyboards? Someone sent me this link, and now I’m a little confused… The Azio board, which you have the link, and this.

Well I have a few mechs, if its your first I would go with something like a g710, the plus if you don’t want the click, theres also the razors tournament, and check out the stealth if you don’t want the clicking on that one. These logitech’s are an inexpensive option if you want legit cherry switches, and the razer’s are as cheep as the shitty Chinese knockoff keyboards but it comes with a warranty.
·
·
Might want to lower the price of the G710, you can get it new on amazon for $64 – http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-High-Speed-920-006519/dp/B00QI2WPJ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449357401&sr=8-1&keywords=g710

I kept saying the same thing until I saw this, now I just check the part numbers. It even says G710+ on the side.

I saw a guide somewhere on someone doing that, but there is a blue model of the keyboard , only difference from the 710+ is the blue accent and it has Cherry MX Blues, but here’s the forum post someone made on painting the keyboard
·
Looking to upgrade from my G710+, as it doesn’t have RGB. I’m having some trouble finding something that fits all my needs though. I’m looking for a full sized keyboard that has Cherry MX Blue or Browns, good RGB control (something like this or this, as well as being able to control different portions of the keyboard independently so that I could have certain portions of the keyboard be different colors), and has macro keys (preferably to the left of the keyboard).
I don’t really care about the price, but I’m having issues finding any keyboards that fit all of those criteria, outside of things from Razer. I’d rather not buy anything from Razer unless it’s the only product that is available that fits my needs.
Thanks!
