There’s a wireless G613 for less than this on Amazon right now. No lighting though.

I bought the G915 TKL and like it a lot, but it’s way more expensive than any keyboard should be.

Looks like the G613 is on sale at amazon right now. Btw, I’m not sure if you’ve considered it, but the G613 doesn’t have any backlight – going from a non-backlit keyboard to one that has a backlight (an kind, not just RGB) is a huge QoL improvement if you type a lot at night.

FWIW, I got my anne pro 2 for $87 from walmart’s online marketplace last year. It’s a great wireless RGB mechanical keyboard (that comes in black/white and has several different options for switches), but it’s a 60% keyboard, which can be hard to adjust to if you’re used to full-size. I also wouldn’t recommend it if you’re usually using a numpad as well. If you’re okay with 60%, that and the GK71 are great options – imo, the best thing about these over most logitech/corsair/etc keyboards is that these use universal keycap sizes, so you have near-infinite options to customize and replace the keycaps.

Logitech G613 and I love it. There was a bit of a transition period where my typing was terrible due to the longer keystroke than I was used to, but I love it. Very comfortable, ergonomic and it works great.

Have never used one myself but I’ve read good things. These have come down a lot in price recently: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G613-Lightspeed-Mechanical-Multihost-Connectivity/dp/B07796MBJ7/ref=asc_df_B07796MBJ7/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=242167970588&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2145219543643516809&hvpone=&hv…

For what it is, I think its a fairly good deal and I think if you shop around you can find it for less than $60.

I’ve been using the G613 for about three years now (since shortly after it was introduced).

Solid frame, decent transmission distance, good battery life, functions fully on default drivers… no backlight though. I use it both at home and have traveled with it. I have no complaints and no regrets.

My husband bought this wireless mechanical keyboard for me for my birthday last month, and I’ve been super happy with it so far.

It’s great for a home office, since I can use it via the lightspeed dongle on my gaming PC, and then hit a button to connect it to my work laptop via bluetooth.

Also 65 on Amazon if you prefer there (bought it last week for this price).

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G613-Lightspeed-Mechanical-Multihost-Connectivity/dp/B07796MBJ7

Brought it to the office after it came in and it’s really nice imo; certainly much better than the stock office logitechs they give us. I probably wouldn’t use it for typing because of the Romers. You get less of a precise “okay it’s pressed” feeling on click as you would with a Cherry Brown like I have on my Ducky at home. But for typing it’s really nice. Just enough resistance and so that you don’t fatfinger close presses, but not enough to feel like a burden after typing for an hour+.

G613 here. I love it. I don’t like RGB much, I needed a mechanical keyboard, and I wanted something fully wireless because I can’t stand wire clutter. It’s got everything I could want, plus you have the ability to pair it with Bluetooth to your phone and switch over at the press of a button to type a long text or something.

It’s slightly over your budget at $106.

I personally love Logitech’s line of mechanical keyboards. I bought the G613 for home use and was such a fan I picked up the K845 for the office. Nice brown caps, full 108 keyboard, and zero RGB for super reasonable. I think $75 for the wireless and I got a renewed version of the wired for under $50.

Logitech G613 vs Corsair K65 vs HyperX Alloy FPS (Red)

Hey, I am looking for a new Mechanical Keyboard. And came across these 3 keyboards, that each had their good part and came here for some suggestions, as this will be my first ever Mech KB.

I have been only using Laptop Keyboards all my life, mostly the Macbook Pro 2015 at first, and Currently the MBP 16′ 2019 Keyboards. And Haven’t ever had or felt Mech Keyboards.

My Purpose:

I am a Software Developer by profession, so obviously huge amount coding (majority of it), and I also play FPS games like COD, and so on my off time. And COD is also one of the reasons I am getting the Mech Keyboard.

My choices:

Logitech G613 – MOST Expensive CA$120

  • It is wireless (helps make my desk look clean)
  • Full Size
  • Also is mechanical keyboard and DEDICATED Macro Keys, so got me all worked up and excited
  • Has the best Software As well from what others said. And granted I have a G305 Mouse…
  • Doubted about the Mech Keys it has, it says Romer-G but not sure how good they are…
  • Also the most expensive, Almost 50% more than other KB.

Corsair K65 – Mid Expensive, but close to the other one

  • RGB Backlight KB
  • Cherry MX Red, heard are the BEST for FPS Gaming
  • Research shows it has a very decent Software as well
  • Cheaper
  • 10KLess

HyperX Alloy FPS Cheapest

  • Only Red Backlight
  • Detachable Cable
  • People Say has horrible Software
  • Cherry Mx Red
  • 10KLess

Tldr; which of the 3 is better for a software developer who plays COD in free time. And hasn’t EVER had a Mechanical Keyboard.

PS: I posted here because the forum said sticky… So my assumption was to ask here

wireless, macro, mech and made by Logi for $70, just not backlit Is backlighting worth the extra $100-180?

Also, if a person does not care about name brand, there are lots of options under $100. (None of which I would recommend, btw, but I don’t see why the Logi board commands $250?

quietness is in the gamer , not the board. Breath in , breath out.

I’ve been quite happy with my G613 . just a tad over 100 I think it was.,

I also stole this baby a month ago. it’s no mechanical, but its not that bad, I don’t game with it much though, it’s more a writer. Still, pretty nice looking , quiet and cheep.

based on your suggestions and a lot more research i have now decided to take i5 9th gen which i want to overclock when warranty is over/system is slow. On that decision here is my new list.

Now because i plan to overclock it, would your recommended hyper 212 work on the long run? some comments on the product say no. also since my i5 doesn’t come with a cooler, would you recommend any other? And if i wish to overclock will my 650W psu still be ok? the hyper 212 has 2 yr warranty vs the noctua has 6yr. thats another thing i am considering.

Note: I want to have only one CPU cooler. just kept 2 in the list for reference.

Motherboard: I have read that if i want to upgrade later, its best to invest in a good motherboard. I previously checked out H310/370 and B360 but since i chose to do overclocking later switched back to z390. Now this motherboard doesnt seem to have HDMI but has some dvi-d and display port. is that ok or should i look for something that has HDMI too? I read that display ports support better/faster resolution/graphics. how true is that?

I am thinking on the mechanical keyboards too. I am gonna go checkout some in a physical store. i need wireless option so if not the below listed keyboard i was thinking
logitech g613 https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G613-Lightspeed-Mechanical-Multihost-Connectivity/dp/B07796MBJ7

and logitech g603 mouse. which will take the price over $150 just for keyboard and mouse.

Sorry I’m a bit late on the reply. Check these options out and see if they look like what you’re interested in:

  • G213 Prodigy – for if mechanical keys just aren’t your thing. I used to own one of these, never had any complaints. On the cheaper end, too

  • G613 – pretty much same as above, but wireless and mechanical. A good friend swears by this and made fun of me for having the “cheaper” option.

  • Das 4 – this one busts your budget a bit, but man it’s awesome. Two buying options is nice, too – clicky or soft. It’s not a gaming keyboard per se, but holy crap I love this thing. Biggest downside is no backlighting. I rarely use it for gaming since it’s technically the property of my office, but it’s great for gaming and great for office use with the quiet key version. I used to play LoL on it a lot at work, and still play some other competitive games on it a couple of times a week and it’s awesome. Zero complaints about this thing. A lot of what I do at work is typing-intensive, and I can do it all day with this keyboard.

I’m only interesting in mechanical keyboards that has macro keys, wireless connectivity, dedicated media buttons (i know there are Fn keys but i’m not interested in pressing multiple buttons) such as this
