Oh dear that’s awful. You don’t think she could of gotten a UTI in the time she’s last seen her vet? A lot of the time when they do this elimination outside of the box it’s because they’re sick somehow. One thing about cat urine is that it doesn’t come out easily and if she can still smell (even if you don’t) it’s possible she will eliminate there again. If it leaked to the mattress, use copious (insanely large amount) of baking soda. Leave it there and cover the mattress using a plastic over the baking powder, cover with tape all four sides with plastic. When you wash sheets that have cat urine on them, I’ve found it’s best to wash is HOT with your laundry detergent and 1 cup of baking soda. Set your washer on the soak cycle. This helps eliminate the odors and I’ve found it works well as long as I have extremely hot water and use the baking soda. With the mattress- if it’s a memory foam type you can’t get it wet, all you can do is keep baking powder on it for a few months. Check it every time you change your sheets. This will help tremendously in absorbing odor. I’d vacuum it up and reapply every time I changed the bed. You can check by doing the sniff test after doing baking soda a couple months to see if it’s helping.
