This is what I use. It sits behind me against the wall. It’s fully automatic. Worked so well got one for kitchen too.

It was as a little expensive but side bonus I don’t vacuum up as much dust as I normally did.

It’s like the flowerpot of air purifiers LOL

Edit: everybody on my hallway smokes so that wasn’t the issue.
