I just picked up one of these off amazon and my initial impressions I am very happy with it. It has a long light bar that puts out good light and moves around easily. The long light bar is key for me for spreading the light and trying to avoid shadows. You can adjust color temperature and brightness easily too.

If you want to to get a little DIY with it, you can buy something like this or this and replace the springs with stronger springs, then rig up a way to connect that to the headset itself.

The springs would be strong enough to hold it and position it however you want. I got the idea because I actually did this with the Virtual Boy back in the day.
