with the laptop on top of both, of course.
I did use a piece of thick plastic to fill in that “hole” on the right side of the lap desk which I then covered over with a cloth mouse pad cut to fit over that area. Using a high resolution mouse (Logitech gamer mouse — G502) it works great.
Know that my laptop is a 15.6 widescreen Sager NP8265, so it’s a little larger than most laptops of the same approximate size.
TL;DR – You’ll not ever find the perfect solution in one item, but if you mix and match to fit your needs, you can make something that will work great!
