I have the same laptop. If you’re just browsing the internet or watching videos it’s fine to have it on your lap but if you’re running a resource intensive game or program, I’d definitely suggest to have it sitting on a flat surface because it can definitely get hot. I just try to keep mine on a flat surface regardless since it’s better to maintain airflow. But I’m usually chilling on the couch with it and not at a desk when I’m working, browsing, or gaming so I use one of those lap desks kinda like this one. I’d recommend getting something like that.

I don’t think so. I also get paired with other PS players who play with a controller, when I do squad fill. I play at a desk ‘cause I also like to play on my 120Hz monitor. But I also have this lap desk whenever I want to play on tv.
