So I went ahead and bought this KVM switch after I learned about EDID – basically a feature that retains monitor memory after switching. I’ve only had it hooked up for 15 minutes, so still early.. but it is one button, Cintiq works great so far, swaps mouse and keyboard and my windows don’t shuffle around anymore! Worth it for $40 imo

If you only have one display, this should be what you’re looking for. But I don’t know of anything that does it for Bluetooth, and if you want 2+ displays plus usb hub it gets pricy

You want a KVM switch like this:

I recently bought this KVM switch on Amazon. Works great, cheap and comes with all the cables you need.

Brand new to mech keyboards, typed on a few in store and decided I like the linear switches the best. Looking for a quieter 60% build since my desk is in the living room and don’t want my girlfriend to murder me. I was looking at this pre-built on KBDfans and wanted to use these keycaps.

First of all, will those keycaps work with a 60% layout? If so, then would that be layout 2 on the first link?

As for sound, I was going to start with gateron silent black switches, with a polycarbonate plate. Is this going to be decently quiet (like membrane keyboard levels of noise)? Or should I go with a different plate material?

Lastly, I use this KVM to switch between my gaming PC and my work laptop (a Macbook), does anyone know if the PCB has issues with MacOS or using a KVM?

I’m using this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087NMTBDF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_GPZuFbJWDBX2P

Then a generic hdmi switch on the other monitor. Not sure I’d recommend the kvm switch. It only allows 60 hz refresh rate. Which is kind of a bummer.

It’s hidden in the wooden box 🙂 it’s this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087NMTBDF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_GPZuFbJWDBX2P

It is okay. It only allows up to 60hz refresh rate on my monitors on Mac. Which is okay unless you’re gaming, which i do occasionally. Anything above 60 stutters an glitches
