What is the opinion of Reddit about the

I’m looking for recommendations on a volume knob to use with headphones on my PC. Ideally I want to run it from my audio-out to the headphones directly. I have the LE Koss Porta Pro that I use.

They are ugly but perfect for me.

Thinking that a DAC might be best but don’t want to spend a ton. I would like to keep it under $50 US. I just want to get my PC speakers off my desk to clear up clutter and I keep the headphones plugged into those.
