I mix it with this to make sure it’s balance: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X86PDO6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=157HPC3NOV178&coliid=I7WJB6H9Q2GT8&psc=1

I’ll also switch up protein sources on occasion; our local butcher is awesome and will grind up anything, bone and all, for no extra charge :).

You can feed ground turkey, but it’s not a complete diet. There are mixes you can buy to in turn, make it complete, however:

It can be expensive, but it is considered by many to be the best diet for your cat. However, if it’s not balanced, that’s far worse than anything else you could feed them, as a diet that is deficient can cause all kinds of problems. Be sure to tread gently. Otherwise, you might just want to find a commercial food your cat likes better.

You can add this mix to any ground raw meat to make it nutritionally complete: http://www.amazon.com/Better-Raw-Cats-Make-homemade/dp/B00X86PDO6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1460154142&sr=8-1&keywords=raw+meat+for+cats

This will include all the vitamins and minerals needed for them to thrive, or any commercial raw diet will work as well. It’s important to not just feed chicken and rice, however (especially minus the rice, since they don’t need it), as this is NOT nutritionally complete. For instance, cats need Taurine to survive, and this is not found in basic chicken and rice. Take care to look into this carefully; there are a lot of ways to do more harm than good with homemade diets.
