While I doubt anyone could be as helpful as the person below… I recently purchased an Onkyo TX-NR656 and it works great with 4k and HDR as I have it hooked to a PS4 pro and xbox one s (just make sure you get good HDMI cables) as for the speakers, you won’t be able to get super high end with that budget, but you could get something along the lines of this:

My neighbor has this system and it sounds really great. You could also look at the Denon AVR-X1300W as its the same price as the Onkyo and most people prefer the audysey system in the Denon over the Onkyo. Good Luck hope it turns out great. Just remember you’re the only person who needs to like how the system looks and sounds (and possibly your significant other 🙂 )!

These are the speakers that i have currently: Klipsch HD1000.
I’m not really sure what I’m looking at in terms to know if the speakers are decent or work well with a certain receiver.
If you don’t mind do you know anything about the ‘4K/60Hz full-rate pass-through’ and if my TV is 240hz does that mean the 240hz doesn’t really matter on the TV since the input is coming at 60hz?
