Replying to /u/scandii (whose post was deleted his post before I could hit submit).

>”I bought shit, and it’s shit”

>that’s what I got out of your comment. not saying you’re wrong or anything, but what did you expect?

>when it comes to the lower end of bluetooth vs regular headphones regular headphones got bluetooth beat every single time.

They have decent reviews on Amazon (4 stars/5000+ reviews), so for $25 I wasn’t expecting shit. I figured that $25 headphones would have worse sound quality than something $100+, but I assumed (I guess wrongly) that BT tech was advanced enough that moving my phone from one pocket to the other wouldn’t cause the audio to cut out.

But yeah, lesson learned. BT headphones apparently are only reliable if you go mid to high end.

I use these:

I tried a few different types of earbuds, but all of them fell out, even the one’s for sports. The one’s I linked are amazing and sound good and never fall off my head, not even when running or throwing weights around.

Just can’t do any kind of in-ear headphones, whether running or in general. I have a wireless pair of over-ear cups on a neck band like these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AWIPITS/?coliid=I4OQ5OFMMOMDC&colid=PXZHMAI7MX1D&psc=1&ref_=lv_vv_lig_dp_it

I use these Kinvio Bluetooth headphones. $25 on Amazon, super long battery life. Take a beating and keep going. I like having a cheap set like this vs using airpods because of the sweat and whatnot.

He could try something like these.

The behind-the-head style can work for people who don’t like the top-of-head style. If you want a more audiophile one — at that price he could try them out and then see if you or he can find ones with the same style but higher sound quality (No recommendations there, but I’d imagine they exist).

I’m actually a pretty bad judge of it, I’ve been using Bluetooth Headphones exclusively for about 3 years now, so it made no difference to me. As a side note, the speaker is surprisingly decent, at least from a Nexus 5.

I can’t know which will stay on best without buying them, though. hmmm… I may actually try the cable ones because I currently have hook ones (not meant for running, but I use them Kinivio BTH240) and they stay pretty well with a jog, but when I sprint I have to take them off and hold them so they don’t fall off. The little retention/stiffener clip in the cable ones look like it may help with that.

I dunno. Haven’t used wired headphones in many years. I bought a set of cheap Bluetooth headphones off Amazon several years ago and never looked back. These actually…

They still will run all day long on a charge, 10 hours easily….. best part is I can still hear what’s going on around me, so I can use them at work and not miss important things. They also work really well as a handsfree headset while driving. I use them almost daily for 4 years now….

I am certain almost anything wired has better quality sound. I don’t care. These work well and I don’t have to deal with wires.

I love my kinivo bluetooth headphones. However, they will let some outside noise in if someone is actually trying to talk to you. Flipside, if your gym plays super loud music you might need something beefier to cover that up.

I mostly use this one. The battery life is ridiculous, I would estimate at least 20 hours, although the official description says less than that. I use them every day while I walk my dog and sometimes other things, and I charge them about once a month.

Budget: $30ish

Hey all, I have a bit of a different request than what you normally get. I am

  1. Not all that concerned about high quality audio

  2. Looking for a cheap Bluetooth headset

I know that you generally skew towards the audiophile side of the spectrum, but my main concerns are ~12 hour battery life, micro USB charging, integrated mic, and that’s about it!

I currently have these and they work mostly great. The main reason why I’m looking for something else is these have about a .5second audio delay and they disconnect from time to time without warning. I honestly might just get the exact same pair and home the second one works better, but I’m open to any suggestions.

Thanks!

I have had these for over two years and haven’t had an issue with them yet.

Outdoor summer workouts, humid gyms 6 days a week at times… they’ve just held up.

I’ve had a handful of different cheap ones from amazon. The best built and longest battery life would be the Kinivo BT240, in my opinion.

These Kinivo bluetooth headphones! I can’t do earbuds either and these are excellent! They sound pretty good and stay put. And they fold up real nice and small 🙂 Plus, the price point is pretty good!

I bought the Kinivo BTH240 mainly because Amanda Bucci used them. They’re inexpensive, work pretty well and are over the ear, which I prefer. I’d say I’m pretty satisfied with them.

If they don’t have to be buds, I recommend the Kinivo BTH240. They are my favorite headphones. I’ve used them for like 4 years now and am on my second pair. I love them so much I have a third pair still in the box on the shelf. They are good for working out (don’t even really move a lot when jumping rope), and a charge typically lasts 2.5 days (I use them to listen to podcasts/music like 12 hours and often leave them on overnight), and charge in a few hours.

They even happen to be on sale right now.

I’ve been using these at work for the past 4 years (Well, I’ve been using the BTH220 model, but this seems to be the current equivelent). They’ve never run out on me over the course of work day, and I just plug them in when I go home for the day, and find they’re ready to go the next morning. Even on days where I’ve forgotten to plug them in, I’ve been able to get through another day with them (though I may only use them 4-6 hours over the course of an 8 hour day).

They’re not the BEST quality, but I have congestion issues that affect my ears so using ear buds hurts due to the pressure difference.

I’ve had the older version of these for around 3 years now and love them. Little more than what you were looking at but not too pricey.

Any budget friendly bluetooth headphones/earphones recommendations? Needs to be sweat resistant.

I have the Kinivo BTH240 in mind but it doesn’t ship to Singapore, and if possible I’d like to get something similar locally.

I use these

In ear headphones never seem to stay in my ears and get distracting when they are on the verge of falling out. So I used the Motorola S305, which I killed with sweat. Not want to pay that much again, ~$50 at the time, I came upon these. I’ve been using them since Sept 2014 and haven’t had an issue yet.

I got so sick of ripping my headphones off my head and wanted wireless headphones. I’d highly recommend these because they aren’t super expensive so you won’t mind throwing them in your gym bag. Also I’ve dealt with their customer service a couple times which has been a great experience. I had some detergent spill on them and they stopped working and they shipped me a new pair for free.

Battery life too, if you workout 1 hour per day, it will last more than a week.

I haven’t tried the bluetooth Koss clips but I’ve gone through several pairs of the wired version (KSC-75) over the years and can vouch for them. The comfort is good for me except they can interfere with glasses. And the audio quality is legendary for the price range, although I have no idea if that carries over to the new version.

I did switch to bluetooth headphones for my daily dog walks some years ago, and I really like the lack of wire and the ability to quickly pause or change the volume. I used these for several years but I don’t really recommend them because there are occasionally little hitches in the audio (bluetooth issue). It’s not very noticeable for audiobooks, but really annoying for music.

Recently I started using these which are ok, the bluetooth is solid and audio quality is good, but they only have a single button which is a bit annoying and they wouldn’t be secure enough for running I don’t think.

I will keep an eye out for a good deal on the Koss.

Okay, I’m officially lost.

Location – UK (London)
Budget – ~~£50 flexible but preferably under rather than over!~~ Up to £100
Source – HTC mini 2
Requirements for Isolation – Some? Mainly using on a bicycle so there’s going to be wind noise I want to cut out but traffic noise I need to hear.
Preferred Type of Headphone – On ear, the type that fix by hooking behind your head I think. In ear would be okay Might be wearing a helmet so no over head straps.
Preferred tonal balance – I really have no idea, going to be taking phone calls and listening to everything from classical, hiphop, folk, blue grass, jazz, doom metal and electro.
Past headphones – Stock headphones that came free with the Walkman/Diskman/Phone. Nothing to like about them other than the price.
Preferred Music – The last 10 artists on my youtube history; Nick Drake, Massive Attack, Demigodz, Atmosphere, Wo Fat, Godspeed You Black Emperor, The Vangelis Blade Runner OST, Amy Winehouse, Pulp, Martin Carthy.

Looking for Bluetooth headphones to use with my HTC phone, to take/make calls and listen to music on short commutes and long bike rides. Ideally USB charging.
Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Was looking at these Kinivo BTH240 and may still pick up a pair to try at a later date but have decided to go with these ElektroShack ES201

They last quite a while on a single charge. I use em roughly 2x per week for like 2ish hours each time. I charge them every 3 weeks or so.

I bought em 2 years ago. I’ll be honest and mention that one ear is starting to buzz hear and there, therefore I may be buying a new pair within the next few months. But $25 for 2 years aint bad I guess.

How about Kinivo BTH240 or SoundPEATS?

Get rid of the cords. Something cheap so breakage/loss isn’t as much of an issue.

Storage sounds like an issue if you need to assign headphones to specific students, but an issue that really depends on how you use the headphones and not something I’m sure how to address. If everyone sits at the same desk, why not just keep them at the desk?

I use blue tooth headphones that hook on my ear. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AWIPITS/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_lP7Iub1Q4P9K8 they are awesome. Pretty good sound quality. Fair price. Hold a decent charge. Decent range. Run in them, jump..etc.
