Probably the easiest way I can think of is just use a basic steel bed frame that folds up as your base. Then you can lay some plywood boards across. They can sit into the angle on the ends so that you wouldn’t need fasteners at all. You might have to search around a little to find a frame that is a foot tall though.

Why not get a metal queen bed frame with a Full headboard to Queen Frame adapter kit. This frame is self supporting so you would just bolt the head and possibly foot to the frame. This makes the head and footboard more decorative as the metal frame supports the weight of the bed.
If your existing head and footboard have hook on rails This would work but it does rely on your head and footboard to support it.

Just remember a Queen is 6 inches wider and 4 inches longer than a full size.
Hope this helps.
