I’m partial to the iKBC CD87 myself, but the wireless version of that is unfortunately out of stock. This is similar, but lacks the amount of switch choices that the iKBC has. This also has a white backlight, which can be turned off. The iKBC (and its wired version) both lack any kind of lighting at all.
For mice, I honestly prefer the use of batteries. I don’t see the point of it being wireless if you have to connect it by wire every other day to charge it anyways. If you’re not super competitive, just simply getting a decent office mouse that uses batteries is IMO the optimal way to do things for minimal clutter.
Audio is a place where, in my opinion, wires should always be used. Wireless microphones are still fairly terrible as opposed to wired counterparts, and decent wireless headphones are still more expensive than wired for the same audio quality. Speakers, headphones, and any standalone microphones should be wired.

No problem! It’s a really good mouse. I know you said you’re not gaming, but there is no latency at all.
For KB, I know you said RGB, but here’s a white backlit KB with Bluetooth. If you do want RGB, there’s a lot of options for $70.

I use a Keychron K2 mechanical keyboard.
·
According to them, the Keychron works with both Mac and PC, and you can switch it with a lever. To me it would seem like you use your Mac more, so a Keychron is literally one of the best keyboards you can buy. Oh yeah and it works as wired or with Bluetooth. Just, an amazing keyboard overall. Really recommend.

> I wouldn’t recommend buying $150+ keycaps for a $70 Keyboard
would making a custom keyboard be better than buying an already assembled one, seeing as these keycaps are really expensive? i just looked up the keychron one, and this one on amazon is $75. how much does making a custom keyboard usually cost?

Hi, so I searched the wiki and I’m considering a keyboard at the moment, but I know I can do a bit better than this one!
I’d really like something wireless, something pretty, and something quiet if possible. I currently have a Durgod Taurus K320 TKL which I absolutely love, for reference – Thanks!

Which keyboard should I pick, the Keychron K2 or the RK84 (brown switches)?
Ideally I would like the RK84 in black, but it’s only available in the US in white, and I’ve heard that the wireless mode is iffy with a very short range. Software also seems sketchy, but I could run it on a spare computer once and never touch it again.
Meanwhile the Keychron K2 lacks the 2.4 GHz dongle, so the cable is needed for when I can’t use Bluetooth, and apparently it has poor QA issues. At the same $80 price tag it lacks RGB and hotswapping compared to the RK84, though I don’t think I’ll make much use of either.
I sort of favor the RK84 for the 2.4 GHz dongle and customizable macros, but I’m not really sure which to get just yet.

How about the Keychron K2:

Edit: If you search for 84-key mechanical keyboards, a number of options with various switches crop up.

I’m pretty sure I want to get the Keychron K2 for my Mac and coding, but I was just wondering if any of you have ordered from Amazon instead of their website? Right now their website says they aren’t shipping until Feb 1st- 8th because of Chinese new year, but there is also a listing on amazon for the same keyboard here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QBPDWLS/ref=dp_cerb_1
Do any of you know if the amazon one will also not ship until later?
