Finally, I’d note that the 5600X is a better choice than the 3700X for architecture and CAD, because all those programs are single threaded and benefit more from a strong single thread than having 2 extra cores. I’d think upgrading the CPU to the 5800X here would make sense as he’s got ~$100 left over, and he can get the bundle at Microcenter (which also happens to sell the 5800X at only $380).
