How much lube is generally needed for a keyboard? I’m going to be purchasing an 80% keyboard kit and was looking at this lubing kit since it comes with tools, but I don’t know if 0.17 oz is enough since it doesn’t sound like much.
Also, is 205g0 usable on stabilizers too or will I need to buy something else?

I got a kit with the lube that has the brushes, switch puller, and opener. I got this. Is this alright?

I do have an adjustable soldering iron too.

I’m new to mechanical keyboards and I was wondering about the safety precautions necessary for lubing switches and stabilizers.

I got this introductory lube kit that comes with some form GPL 205 g0: https://www.amazon.com/Keyboard-Universal-Lubricant-Mechanical-Stabilizer/dp/B096VSF487/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=254VK3HA254B1&dchild=1&keywords=keyboard+lube+kit&qid=1631817439&sprefix=keyboard+lube+ki&sr=8-3

I couldn’t find any safety information about the lube in this kit. Do you normally use gloves and a mask when lubing switches?

Can I also use this type of lube on the stabilizers?

The keyboard I have is a Keychron C1 with linear switches.

Keyboard Lube Kits : available for 17€ (22USD or around). Keyboard parts and tools are very expensive in Europe, even more in France. Is this kit good enough?

Can somebody please make sure everything with my build checks out before I make my purchases? I have not done this before.

Please note that I already have a soldering iron, solder, and key caps.

Case + PCB
Switches
Stabilizers I noticed this is a 104 kit, but I think it should still work since TKL is the same layout aside from the lack of the number pad of course.

I got this the lube is great.
Keyboard Lube Kits 5PCS Contain GPL 205G0 Grease 0.17oz, Stem Holder Keycap Puller Lube Brush, and Switch Puller, Universal Switch Lubricant for Mechanical Keyboard Switches and Stabilizer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096VSF487/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_BS11K20CPA018R6BCHWN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Also Super Lube for springs. Nice and cheap but a lil too thin for switches:
Super Lube 51010 Oil Super Lube,Translucent white https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BXOGHY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_MF3ZR8RAST6YFBFCX5YQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Is this lube kit from amazon any good? https://www.amazon.com/Keyboard-Universal-Lubricant-Mechanical-Stabilizer/dp/B096VSF487/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=keyboard+lube+kit&qid=1629369235&sr=8-3

If not are there any good alternatives for cheap? I want to lube linear switches and I just need the lube.

Hi, first time builder here. Might be a bit of a dumb question, but with the dedicated mechanical keyboard online stores in Australia that I know of currently out of stock, I was wondering how reliable Amazon might be for purchasing lube. I’ve yet to see anyone recommend buying off Amazon and the prices seem pretty low when compared to the prices of stores like Switchkeys which sells a 5ml jar for $20. One of the reviewers is also saying that it’s too thick and not actually g0?

Just wondering if I’m being overly cautious or not.

If he is into building parts maybe a mechanical keyboard? The NK65 would be a great starter kit for him. The only extra thing you would need to get for him is lube to lube the switches he can look up so much info on youtube. Ill suggest some items below.

keyboard – https://novelkeys.xyz/collections/keyboards/products/nk65-v2-aluminum-edition?variant=34917914738855

switches (will need 70 pack) – https://www.primekb.com/collections/switches/products/alpaca-linears?variant=37633188823203
