Wow. I don’t think I even know what 750 watts in a home sounds like.

Here is the pertinent info from my Insignia system:38 watts total RMS system power: 22W subwoofer and 8W per satellite

To answer your question more specifically, because I think sound travels downward perhaps more than to the side? So just because it can’t be heard in my apartment doesn’t mean it can’t be heard below. I’m not sure. It’s why I came here.

To answer your question more broadly, I’m apartment searching and trying to learn about how sound travels. And I’m trying to eliminate units from my search that have poor building materials that don’t sound insulate properly. In my current unit, a lot is heard between the top floor to mine. Vacuums, people working out, or even just walking. What about that search for knowledge offends you?

Many people have answered (appropriately) with suggesting I look for concrete and fireproof buildings. Some even listed sources for building construction and floor materials. Those were the correct (on-topic) answers to my questions.

Why even need a separate bass driver at all?

What does this mean? I’m just using what came in the box – https://www.amazon.com/Insignia-Computer-Speaker-NS-PCS41-Subwoofer/dp/B0038L1KY8.

I’ve asked. No noise issues. People tell me they can’t hear me.
