So are you saying that you would like a bump that is more pronounced? If that’s the case, just go with the clears. If you decide you don’t like them, you can return it and purchase another keyboard with browns or another switch you’d like to try. This keyboard is worth checking out. Good luck

Looking for a clear switch keyboard 80% or more (can take or leave the numpad), preferably under 135 CAD after shipping, but if I would benefit enough spending just a little more I’m willing to think on it. Just looking for a basic keyboard for the most part, but mild colour in the keycaps would be a nice bonus. I have been thinking the iKBC CD108 is the way I’ll have to go.

Found this on amazon https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B076XNTBWY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1_1_1?smid=A3VNFYX5IP7NQX&psc=1.

Feels like a big downgrade as I’m using ikbc’s fullsize rgb pbt board with mx blues haha…Maybe I’ll sit on the blues until it becomes a larger issue.

What are some good, quiet TKLS keyboards? I want to get one for work, and I work in an open office setting, so I need it to be quiet. I have tried various switches, and I like Cherry browns and clears (and I assume equivalents from other brands) the most. I want a high actuation force switch that is not clicky but still tactile. I assume I would love Cherry clears the most, but I have been able to try those. I would also be open to trying Cherry blacks since those have a high actuation force.

I absolutely need an FN row and arrow keys. I also want a way to control volume from the keyboard, so if media keys are possible I would want those. More than likely, I will have to get a keyboard with an FN key and use the FN keys to control the volume. Either way is fine, but dedicated media keys would be preferred.

As for layout, my favorite layout has been the layout of the iKBC CD108 What I really liked is the dedicated media keys and the Windows key on the right hand side (I use Win + L a lot). I also would want it to be pretty compact since I go to different clients for my job. I was looking for some, and the Rapoo KX is a nice idea of layout/size of what I want. However, blue switches are a deal breaker. But something along these lines is what I am looking for. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey thanks for the response! Sounds like clear is the way to go. I posted a Board below, with Clears (surprisingly rare compared to Blues/Blacks/Browns). Any thoughts? Code V3

as compared to this one maybe?
iKBC

Also, what’s the install like with those rings you mention? Still kinda new at this…
Thanks!!!

Browns might work for you two. i know I’m recommending this a lot but I just got my hands on a TD108 (backlit) that I paid $69 for on Amazon and I was blown away by the quality for the price.
