I’m guessing the person who got it for you ordered it on Amazon? Since it’s so new and it’s probably within the return window, I’d see if either a) you can exchange it for a new one or b) you can return the board and get something else. Even though it’s a gift, I’ve been able to return gifts on Amazon before for a gift card. Personally I’d go for Option B and get something like this from a reputable brand since I don’t think redragon is that great in terms of quality.

I just have a cheap HyperX keyboard, it was the cheapest keyboard I could find with Cherry switches. I got Blue switches, the backlight is just a plain red. Using my XPS 9570 (2018)‘s keyboard feels so awful now. The Blues are a little loud but I type a lot (no gaming cos no desktop GPU 😭) and the action of the keys is so satisfying. And I feel like I’m faster with it too.

Can someone tell me what’s the difference between these and the one from Amazon? I am looking for a mech keyboard for around 100$ TKL tactile and would rather buy from amazon for easy returns.

Good linear switches that are on the lighter and quieter side? I currently have a HyperX Alloy FPS Pro with cherry mx blues. I’m looking to get a planck and upgrade my switches. The main two problems I have with my blues are how heavy they are and how loud they are. If I’m typing/using my computer for long periods of time my fingers get really sore, and I can’t join a discord call without people complaining about my keyboard. What switches would you recommend?

Are these Keycaps Abs or Pbt?

I got this Keyboard (In a German Loadout and the Numpad) and I wondered what these Keycaps are. I never had Keycaps from other Keyboards so I don’t know what they are and I have nothing to compare.

Keyboard: I would recommend looking for a certain switch at a decent price. for example this is a decent keyboard from hyper x that uses cherry mx blue switches. You should really be shopping for a switch rather than a keyboard. for more info look here.

Mouse: I’m using a logitech g703. the step down is the g403 which I would recommend. the tradeoff is it isn’t rechargable but it is still a well respected mouse for fairly cheap.

Headset: Someone else mentioned the senheiser game one which would be my first recommendation. other than that I would recommend either an audio technica m40x with some kind of usb mic (either clip on or standalone) or the shp 9500 with the V-Moda BoomPro or something like it.

Well, I don’t know how, and I’m not sure anybody cares, but my K70 just gave its middle finger to certain death and is working again. It was bugging out and spazzing out the first night, but today morning it worked okay albeit with sticky keys. Now even those are gone, and it seems to be fully back to normal. The media keys take a few clicks, but I can definitely live with that. This keyboard from five years ago is a tank.

And this was the keyboard I was leaning toward getting if my K70 did give up the ghost:

This is the one I use op. Real Cherry red switches have been shown to be the best for gaming in terms of responsiveness. This keyboard is tenkeyless and inexpensive for your first one.
