Ah, oh no. My Amazon Prime was (and now is) expiring, so I just ordered something. How does this Cosmetica brand serum look?

Hey! I just stumbled upon this thread. I use hyaluronic acid and love it. I use this one Hyaluronic Acid Serum for Skin– 100% Pure-Highest Quality, Anti-Aging Serum– Intense Hydration + Moisture, Non-greasy, Paraben-free-Best Hyaluronic Acid for Your Face (Pro Formula) 2 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0090UJFYI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Ek4wFbBKHR4S7

You put it on after you shower. You can use a your toner before you put it on, but make sure you put water back onto your face. The way that the acid works is it distributes the water into your skin, so therefore you need to have water on your face, then rub the hyaluronic acid in. You’ll feel it soak into your skin, it’s really cool. Also if you need directions on how to apply it you can always use google. I saw results after a few weeks of using it consistently. Good luck!

I was having concerning skin texture problems no matter what moisturizer I used until I started using this hyaluronic acid serum underneath them – http://www.amazon.com/Best-Selling-Hyaluronic-Pure-Highest-Paraben-free-Vegan–Best/dp/B0090UJFYI/ Vitamin C serums have also helped.

I’ve been using this one for the past week and I like it so far! I haven’t seen drastic results, but I do notice my skin feeling plumper and softer. I think if I had more of a dehydration/dryness problem, I might see more dramatic changes.

I’m sensitive to a lot of ingredients that are commonly in serums, so I was looking for one that is pretty barebones. This one only has three: distilled water, hyaluronic acid, and benzylalcohol (0.5%).

I used the Glossier Hyaluronic acid but switched back to my standard Cosmedica Hyaluronic acid from Amazon. 🤷 Plays well with everything.

I’ve been using hylauranic acid serum and then honest face cream

These have been great for calming my skin!

So I only have seb derm, and dry skin. What works for me is after a wash, I use a hyaluronic acid serum, and a snail mucin underneath my moisturizer.

I find these to be super mild: this basic hyaluronic acid serum and this heavier French pharmacy-favorite moisturizer. I’ve been using them for years and doing well.

Here’s mine: (copy and pasted from last night’s sticky thread, hence the questions at the end.)

Skin Type: Combo, some slight aging (I’m 31 and right on track)

Country/Climate I’m in: Pacific Northwest

Top Skin Concern: Large pores, under eye bags, general dullness

Current Routine/Products I’m Using:

AM

  • splash of water
  • CeraVe in a tub
  • generally skin-friendly primers/makeup (ain’t nobody got time for more stuff in the morning, particularly anything with wait times…I also find that Mizon Snail Gel, for example, pills up a bit as I layer makeup over it, so I don’t trust putting more than lotion on before I paint my face)

PM

  • mineral oil cleanse
  • CeraVe foaming cleanser
  • P50 toner
  • Hyaluronic acid serum
  • Retinol serum
  • Super C serum (wait 15-20 minutes)
  • PC AHA (wait 10 mins)
  • Mizon Snail Recovery Gel
  • Innisfree White Tone Up eye serum
  • Mizon Good Night White sleeping mask

About once/week or so

  • Innisfree Volcanic Clay mask OR Elizavecca Foaming mask OR Skin Food Black Sugar Strawberry mask, followed by
  • Benton Snail Bee sheet mask OR MBD Black Pearl sheet mask

I specifically want help with:

  • Wait times. In particular, should I be waiting after the P50 toner? Right now I’m just using it in rapid fire along with some other stuff.
  • Routine in general – I’m slowly transitioning over to more AB products…what do I have room to add at this time?

My routine is still under construction. I am working to reduce redness, Melasma and PIH as well as improve my complexion overall.

AM

  • Cleanse: DIY cleansing oil (3:1 sweet almond oil to castor oil) applied prior to shower. This gives the oils time to work and also protects my face from shampoo and conditioner.
  • Cleanse: Remove oil with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and a microfiber cloth.
  • Cleanse: Once every week or two I’ll use Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque.
  • Brighten: Hyaluronic Acid
  • Protect: Nivea Protect Water Gel Sunscreen

PM

  • Cleanse: Wash with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, a Konjac sponge and a microfiber cloth.
  • BHA: Stridex in the red box
  • AHA: Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion 10% Glycolic AHA
  • Brighten: Hyaluronic Acid
  • Moisturize: Cerave Moisturizing Lotion

The next thing I want to add is a vitamin C serum in the AM. Beyond that I’m not sure.

Apart from the oils and sunscreen, most of these represent the first brand I’ve tried for a given product. I am undecided if I’ll switch brands when the ones above run out. I’m not looking forward to patch testing and starting over but how else will I know if something else works better?

I soak my Konjac sponge in white vinegar weekly and use a new microfiber cloth each day.
