Doesn’t really have a brand, (Sold by HUO JI on Amazon, Name is E-Element Z-88, but has X-Falcon written on the keyboard) Anyway, if you want it it’s Here
I’ll probably get a Corsair Strafe RGB soon anyway.

it’s a little limited in colors (salty because no teal or purple grrr my favorite colors) but it’s a really solid keyboard

Here’s the product on Amazon. I snagged it for like $35 on Black Friday. Build quality seems really nice for it’s price. I personally think the blue switches are too clicky, but she is happy with them, so I won’t be swapping them out.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FXDHOKC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_WQ9ZK9S96FXQ1G4QMRTW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 this is my current choice for a budget keyboard. I wanted white, mech, and metal base.

This is that. The switches they use might not be the greatest though, I’ve replaced probably 9 or 10 switches over the past year. But that takes a minute to do and is worth it to not spend $150+ on a keyboard.

You’re not going to find ANY Cherry MX Brown switches at that price point unless you pick up something used. You may find a good deal on some old Duckies or Logitech G710+’s with MX Browns for about that price. There have been some big fire sales of new old stock boards with Cherries for close to that price, but they’re very rare.

You’re going to have to settle for Cherry clones. I believe a full size Outemu MX Brown keyboard was 40% off on Amazon for $49 or $59 or something recently. I’ll have to look.

Again you won’t find new Cherry MX switches for that price unless you get VERY lucky or settle for a used board. Try /mechmarket.

If you can handle CLONE MX Blue switches (Outemu) that are hot swappable (meaning you can put in your own switches, including Outemu browns..Gaterons and Cherry MX will work, although its not fully supported), you can try this keyboard:

https://www.amazon.com/E-Element-Water-Proof-Mechanical-Keyboard-Anti-Ghost/dp/B01FXDHOKC/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1485649486&sr=8-17&keywords=E-element

It’s cheap and seems to be favorable based on reviews from a quick 2 minute googling. Going to assume that your mom doesn’t want to spend the money for a Corsair k70 mk2 SE White. For whatever reason the price jumped to $170, though it was a decent enough board once the software was updated so it stopped fighting for control of the RGB on my motherboard.

For a budget keyboard to replace my keycapless one for my kids I went with E-Element Z-88 by Huo Ji on Amazon.

It has their type of cherry blue keys but it came with extras and they work perfectly.

Besides being RGB gaudy it’s a great keyboard for 50 bucks.

I got the E-Element Z-88.

I actually found it in the guide /u/kschang linked to you.

It’s pretty solid, I’ve had it for about a week, and I absolutely love it.

This is the one I got but they have a few other styles and sizes. You can also find some reviews of it and the smaller ones on this subreddit. One thing to note is on the smaller models the right shift key is a weird size, but its totally normal on the full size.

The keyboard I have isn’t exactly that one listed. I have the full keyboard, not the ten keyless.

I am debating between these two keyboards, and I don’t know which one I should go for. Originally I wanted to wait until blackfriday or cyber monday to purchase a Corsair K70, but I don’t know if I can wait another month and a half. I currently am rolling a CM Storm Devastator Keyboard that came with the bundle I got in 2015, and decided I should upgrade my keyboard as I did my mouse.

After reading up some comments and reviews on the E-Element Z-88, I figure that it may end up being too loud for my liking. My second option is the G810 because it looks really nice, but I don’t know if it’d be as easy to clean as the Z-88 looks like it’ll be.

Would love some help in deciding to get the Z-88, G810, or wait and get a corsair keyboard. Thanks!
