Oh I forgot to mention: I found this desktop humidifier on Amazon that’s just a hollow clay ball in a clay plate. It looks like decoration, doesn’t need batteries, etc. Something like this might work. Amazon

I ended up getting something super close to this and I love it.

These are the ones I purchased, although I guess they were on sale when I got them because I only spent $16 on them. They’re a bit more now, but way more attractive than humidity trays and far more space saving. I love them.
