I agree with this comment, I got my huion gt191 March of this year and I haven’t touched my cintiq or other tablets since. I have had to reset the pen settings here and there and the screen protector it came with is a joke, you can buy a great one for $50. I paid $500 USD and they’re down to $400 USD, which is amazing imo.
I have a pretty detailed review on posted March 6, 2018 on Amazon.

Thanks for the feedback! I just tossed this in my amazon wish list. I tried the iPad at a store and I can’t say I was overly impressed with it as a drawing tablet, but I have seen some people do some great looking art on it.

Huion Kamvas GT-191, 19.5 inch. I think for it’s size it’s still the most recent version but there are a lot of Huion sizes and stuff so just go poke around amazon
The colors are great. I have another monitor and I don’t see a difference between them. I do have the settings on my Huion adjusted though so you might want to tinker, I can’t remember what they looked like out of the box.
The only complaint I have is that you have to charge the stylus but I hear in some of their other versions they’ve gotten rid of the stylus charge. They give you two stylus’ though so it’s never a problem, just charge one and use the other. The charge lasts about a week of straight use. Also when I draw REALLY fast there is some lag, but I don’t know if it’s the Huion or if it’s because I dropped both my pens in water lmfao. Either way, highly recommend.

Haha! That monitor is actually a Huion Kamvas GT-191. (And here is the Amazon link, if you dont like buying from China) My husband and I are both artists and do illustration on the side, and the Huion tablets are practically as good as Wacom Cintiqs, but without the $2-3k price tag.
Huion has some other pen displays as well, though if all you want is a monitor, you may find cheaper options out there.

This was the model. A decorative part of the amazon monitor arm is broken.

I’ve been doing a bunch of research on this subject myself. If I had the money right now, this is what I would buy: Huion Kamvas! This is a fantastic tablet and is very comparable to Wacom tablets that cost 4x as much.
That said, if you’ve never done any digital art, you’d probably be best starting with a cheaper tablet. In that case, I’d recommend this Huion tablet. Now, with this one, you have to look at a separate monitor while you draw. But, you can still make great, professional art even if you are “directly” drawing on a screen. Plus, for the price, this is a HUGE tablet that works just as well as a Wacom.

Keep in mind it will have older specs and that may be an issue. Intuos Art Medium is great at 150 refurb / 200 new, or https://www.amazon.com/Huion-KAMVAS-Drawing-Pressure-Sensitivity/dp/B072N2C2PB/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_147_tr_t_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=16BYSYPDT97DQWE91XGD
