Honestly, if you’re looking for a cheaper option, I use the Huion 680s and I’ve never had any qualms with it.
The one I have is wired (not wireless), but I don’t mind. The stylus is wireless, and I actually upgraded to the rechargeable one, but TBH the batteries in the AA battery one last a LONG time.
For tablets, lots of people go Wacom, but I never had the money for them. And I’ve never felt I was missing out.

I recommend getting good at using a digital pad so you can work at a kind of art that is economically viable like doing work for people online (for money only no matter what they say about “exposure”). You can do banners, covers, and other stuff people need done for their websites and make money like that. If you want to get into teaching then go to college for that and work at getting positioned at a school nearby during your education. You’ll figure this out as you get older. Here is a nice digital art pad for only 40 bucks. If you start at 16 you should be really good in time. I think you’ll be surprised at how close it is to drawing with a pencil and paper. It even registers how much pressure you apply and darkens/lightens accordingly.

how do – is this the one : http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DM00B9A/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=155EXIDCSEZR2&coliid=I1RDL2MP3ZM5MV
I’m just checking, if that works with debian and whatnot and you haven’t had any major gripes I’ll buy it. I want it for drawing diagrams and working things out, not doing any fine art 🙂
cheers

It looks like a 680s but check for some numbers or something on it

I got a Wacom but returned it and got this and it is amazing and less than half the price. I have had it for years and haven’t had to change the pen in the battery yet.

Hey, $100 is pretty tight but here is the best I could think up.
The Animator’s Survival kit – used $31.50
Total price: $80.50
If you find that you love animation, then that book will teach you everything you’ll need. After the 30 day trial, you can look into other programs like ToomBoom, or paying the monthly fee for the Creative Cloud.
Goodluck!
