Both foundations are more or less functionally the same. I have used the metal base from another manufacturer.

You will NEED a long bed skirt, otherwise you’ll be able to see the metal legs. They aren’t very aesthetic. You cannot adjust the rise at all. (Unless you have power tools and do it yourself)

You could also purchase the higher quality variant for 50 bucks more.
