Your biggest issue is gonna be storing a king size mattress/box spring when it’s not in use.
I guess you could get 2 twin xl mattress and box springs and stack both sets on the twin frame when not in use, but that’s gonna be tall. Then when you convert the frame to king size they can lay side by side.
