My current desk setup is a Topping TP30-MarkII, which I mainly use with my Micca MB42X bookshelf speakers. They do happen to also have a built-in headphone amp.
Would this be able to drive the Massdrop HD 6XX adequately?
If not, what’s the cheapest way I can get a decent setup that doesn’t add a whole lot of cable complexity if I want to switch between speakers and headphones relatively frequently?

My current desktop DAC/Amp is a Topping TP30-MarkII, which I mainly use with my Micca MB42X bookshelf speakers. They do happen to also have a built-in headphone amp, and the amp automatically switches from speaker-out to aux-out when I plug in my headphones.

If you buy something like a http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J2P9I2A/ Topping TP30, you can get DAC + Amplifier in one box for less money.

You might just be best off searching craigslist for a decently reviewed receiver for that price.
Are you using it for music mainly? What is your source?
I can’t speak to those speakers specefically, but I have been pleasantly surprsied by the goto cheap audiophile solution. The lepai 2020+ seems to deserve the reputation it has for a value solution. I demoed one to give as a gift and was quite impressed with it. It sounded even better when I went from my source (Samsung Galaxy s6 to my portable fiio e07k preamp to the lepai via RCA.
This person seems to recommend the tp30, but that is without the 5amp power supply. The lepais that ship now come with the 5amp setup.
