Here is an idea, you can hide cat5 pretty easily. Buy this ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K2MXBPR/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_E677YXK5S5J61QWEGK1Q?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ) it will carry the video and USB inputs over the cat5. You could add a kv switch that way it doesn’t act like a second monitor when you want to use the computer at its original location.

For $60 you can get an ethernet cat5e / cat 6 KVM extender on [amazon] that carries HDMI and USB for 50 meters.

I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Extender-Transmit-Ethernet-Keyboard-Control/dp/B08K2MXBPR
I use it to get my gaming pc in living room extended into my home office on other side of apartment.
I have no issues at all and can happily play games even using my logitech ergo k860 keyboard and my logitech mx master 2s.
HOWEVER, I have discovered that another set of (cheap) wireless keyboard and mouse is very laggy in the mouse movements. Clicking is instant but it is the moving where you notice a clear and objectively observable lag.
I am dumbstruck as to why there is such a huge difference, I am guessing the cheap mouse is “talking” much more and is flooding the cables but I have no idea.
Maybe my problem and yours are totally unrelated, I have never had a problem with ghost clicking, but throwing it out there to perhaps try different devices 🙂
