If you’re solely using a mouse and keyboard for console, I’d start with a much cheaper product that way if you decide you don’t want to play anymore or you move on to games that don’t take M/KB input then you haven’t screwed yourself out of $150. I bought a cheap M/KB combo just to test it out on amazon and I love it. Linked it for you here.

Does this look like a good one? What advice should I give him? It doesn’t say what kind of switches it uses. The backlight looks pretty good though. Anybody know more details about this keyboard?

I don’t think I will return them, I’m fine with what I’ve got, but I do appreciate the advice.
The keyboard is This One but the mouse that came with it was crap. It was constantly missing clicks which meant I was missing casting spells in my game, so it had to go. I didn’t return it because I loved the keyboard, I just got a better one. It was discounted more than it is when I bought it, I think I paid maybe $25

About the keyboard, I don’t really know anything about keyboards, is there a big reason for a mechanical keyboard? Would they give you some sort of edge in competitive games? I guess I’d go for backlit. Prime day is going on today so I found a couple gaming keyboards that will be discounted so I could use the free trial of prime to take advantage of the prices.
