I use these connected to either phone or iPod with a aux cord. Blue tooth is probably a good idea as others say but I personally don’t like having to fiddle with wireless stuff and settings.

Simply amazing. http://www.amazon.com/Harman-SoundSticks-II-Multimedia-Speaker/dp/B0001DBEM4
Otherwise, the MacMini’s and Pro towers really don’t do speakers very well; they are more for auditory gestures or alarms, not really for clarity.
Are you just wanting to hear a loud amount of squabble?

I honestly haven’t had the chance to try out the S220 set, mostly because I prefer speakers that don’t have a dedicated woofer for space concerns. Keep in mind that although this particular Logitech system has a dedicated woofer, it is super cheap. And when you have cheap speakers, you have cheap drivers. If you’re looking for a good, true 2.1 set think about these.
I wouldn’t even buy computer speakers worth under $50 if you can afford it, unless you’re sure you’re getting a great deal.
