In realtà ti serve solo il portafiltro e i filtri di carta. Io uso questo
https://www.amazon.it/Hario-dripper-trasparente-chiaro-VD-3T/dp/B001O0LCUC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=v60&qid=1617566546&sr=8-4

Lo puoi usare direttamente sulla tazza o su una caraffa.

You want an Aeropress or a Hario size 3 pour-over dripper PS: Don’t pay amazon prices for that – I picked on up at my local Coffeetorium for $18.

The Hario just makes a banging cup of coffee really quickly. The aeropress is best if you want to faff about and get pretentious about brew times and grind. Kind of like Apple v Android. Do you just want good coffeee fast, or do you want to personalize your coffee experience ?

All of the ones you posted are fine choices, but if you really want to get more control over your cup I highly recommend a V60!

I recommend that you skip the Chemex and go with the 03 size Hario V60. It has the following nice properties:

  • It can easily brew 800ml batches, as the flow is fast and not at all prone to over extracting, like the slow chemex
  • The dripper is cheap, at only $12 for the plastic version (the best anyway), and $20 – $30 for other materials if you don’t like plastic. Contrast with $40 – $80 for a Chemex
  • The filters are cheap, and you can use the “standard” 02 sized filter if you’re not making a “big” batch, or even the 01 size for a small batch.
  • It produces great coffee, hence the popularity of the Hario platform
  • You don’t already have one

I do pour-over through a large Hario cone directly into a Stanley vacuum bottle.

For filters I use some bulk Bunn filters that I bought several years ago — I got 1000 of them, I think I’ve still got maybe 600 left.

Water is heated in an Epica (i.e. Amazon brand) electric kettle, and I use an Epica whirly blade grinder. That’s probably the weakest part of my setup; I’d probably get more consistent results with a real grinder. But it’s mostly OK.

Sweet, thank you!

This is what you’re recommending right?

Also, do I need a carrafe? I assume this is just the filter housing?

Plastic and Glass on Amazon.com, if you are in the US.

I have the larger V60 03 which works well with both V60 and the Chemex filters. That combined with a Hario serving vessel (02 or 03) can allow you to get both V60 and Chemex-type brews with just one vessel. You could also probably stick an Able Kone filter in that if you wanted a steel filter.

I’d go either large chemex or if you really want to get wacky a 3 station DIY pourover stand. You could mod this one.

Buy 3 of these

and your good to go. It’d be pretty impressive to watch for your guest too.

I’m thinking of doing it for a double station version this weekend.
