I’ve had some success moving my belt up and/or loosening it, but by far the best thing I’ve tried is just using a cheap smaller width/thinner belt. Still allows for some pressure, but I can still get into position without much trouble. My gym has the ones below you can borrow so I just use those (I think 2-3 inches in the front 4 inches in back), but I think any cheap little belt would do.
